Thanks Bobbie. My gggggf John lived and died in Campbell County as did his son James, my ggggf. William's age is exactly what I estimate for John, and Halifax is in close proximity to Campbell County. Do you have any information on William's ansestors and where they came from? I would like to expand my research to include the possibility that John and William might be brothers or otherwise related.

I have joined the Asher DNA project and I encourage anyone not a decendant of Dillion Asher to do so also. It is simple and inexpensive, and it would be a definitive way to sort out the other Asher linage(s) in the area in the late 1700s.
