Steve; I have no proof either but have seen a couple of family trees that show that William Jr.'s father was William Sr. who married Mary Elizabeth Bean and that HIS father was a John Asher (no Jr or Sr) b abt. 1700 who married Jane and they had only one child - William (our line). Then, John married an Elizabeth Coosenbury and had 16 additional children of which there was a Charles and John and another William called Billy. Is this the John you're referring to about the will who was disproved years ago to be our William's father? I remember seeing that will because it mentioned his son William had already received his inheritance while living and he listed his wife Elizabeth and another son William to receive part of his inheritance.

If I understand your message, the furtherest back anyone has proven with an actual source is to William Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Bean as the start of our family line, right?

I have H. Hendrickson's address to order the Robertson Asher family history book and plan to do that next week. Thanks for adding my name and email address to the reunion list, maybe I can attend next year. Is it always the first part of October in Kentucky?
