I am not researching this person and I know nothing else about the person. My mother and her father kept newspaper clippings. I am posting them in hopes of helping others.
Fielden Alonzo Asher, son of John and Mary C. Asher, was born in Sullivan County on March 23, 1886 and departed this life December 16, 1950 at the age of 64 years, nine months and 23 days.
He moved to Polk County about 45 years ago. He has spent most of his life here. Mr. Asher had one son who preceded him in death.
He is survived by two brothers, Butler and Lowry Asher of Halfway and one sister, Ethel Ratliff, of Brookfield, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by Rev. Russell Bryant at Rock Prairie Church. Burial followed in the Rock Prairie Cemetery under the direction of Jones and Son Funeral Home of Buffalo.
