Hello all, I am trying to locate a direct male line descendant of John Asher of Culpeper. As you no doubt know, there were several John's of Culpeper and maybe you are wondering which one? It doesn't matter as long as you can prove your line of descent.
As you may have seen below, Barry Collett has started an Asher DNA study. My brother participated in the study which has so far proven that he and the other Asher descendant (through Nancy Davis, our line was through Sally Davis) are an exact match.
If we can find an direct male line descendant of John of Culpeper who can prove lineage, and is willing to take part in the DNA study, we can finally answer the question as to whether the Kentucky Ashers did indeed come from the Culpeper Ashers.
