I can't see the image for the 1930 census, just a transcription, but there's a Lonnie L. and Marcella ASH living as boarders in the household of Mattie A. MORRIS in Suffolk, VA. They don't have any children with them.

There's a birth record for Ruth ASHE, b. 26-Mar-1896 in Holy Neck, Nansemond Co, VA, parents W.E. & Sophie ASHE.
The W.E. ASHE family was in Holy Neck in 1900 and 1910. Apparently W.E. is William Edward. Ruth had the following siblings: Ellie, Lillie, Lonie
In the 1930 census for Holy Neck, Nansemond Co, VA, "Edd" and "Sopha" ASHE have three grandchildren living with them: Carr, Chesley and Jessie.
I think Carr is probably Carl. Chesley appears to be the daughter of other of their children as she was also living with them in 1920.
