THE FLOOD in WASHOE -- A telegram to the bay papers of Thursday says:
Carson City, N.T., Jan. 14 -- The last flood in this valley did not
damage Carson City. Dutch Nick's, 3 miles below here on Carson river,
was 8 feet under water, damaging furniture, etc. H. KINNEY's Hotel
was damaged $4000. SMITH & KEYS and ASHE's saw mills, at the foot of the mountains, were swept away. The Ophir Works are safe. Nearly all the hay in the valley is swept away. It is now worth $100 per ton.
A man named TOLLS was drowned in Carson river.
