Mary Ashe (1723-1761) married George Moore (1716-1778) of North Carolina. They had several children including Alexander, Cornelius, John, Roger, Dempsey, Peabody Cornelius, and George JR.
Mary Ashe was the sister of General John Ashe who fought in the American Revolution and Samuel Ashe who was elected governor of North Carolina.
