Hello; I am looking for possible decendents of Walter and Dorothy Ashdowne. My grandfather was a Barnardo orphan, his name William Hadley. The Ashdowne's where his cousins, and I beleive their mother's maiden name was Hadley. I heard that Walter came to Canada early 1900's,to northern Canada, and was killed in a hunting accident, around 1905-6.Dorothy remained in England,so she probably married and had family. If anyone recocnizes this story would you please get back to me. I am also trying to find out about grampa's mother, Minnie Hadley. She was unmarried when she had grampa, and eventually abandoded him at 8 years of age.I would like to try and find out what happened to her also....Thankyou...Gayle.
