Winifred or Winnifred are not "common" first names. So, when I see a repeated name, it suggests investigating in more detail.

I have a Winnifred Ashton (nee Lavery) living in Dover, Kent, England in the 1920's and 1930's. She would have been born about 1880, possibly in India (her father was with the military) or possibly near Southampton.

Match anything so far? I do have the first name of her husband, some later relocation within England and offspring, if anything here sounds remotely familiar.
