William Ashdown was born about 1814. Per the census details he was born in Waldron, Sussex. Unable to find baptism details in the parish records. William's father was Thomas. William married Elizabeth Winn in 1840 in Bethnal Green Middlesex. Chidren were William b 1840 married Thirza Biggs, Thomas b 1843 married Caroline Walker, Elizabeth b 1845, George b 1847 married Clara Francis, Henry b 1850, Hannah b 1853, Reuben b 1856 and Richard b 1859.
