Hello Kelly,
I have a James Ashdown born in about 1766, possibly at Nettlestead, Kent. As yet I have been unable to find out who his parents were, and wondered if your Francis Ashdown had any children by his second wife? As Nettlestead and Brenchley are not a million miles apart, I wondered if there could be a connection. If it is any help, my James Ashdown married Mary Orpin on 27th November 1794 at Leybourne, Kent. Can we help each other?
