Artemesia was born 22 feb 1804 in Bullitt County or possibly as early as 1797 in Hagerstown, MD to Catherine (Shoptaugh) and David Ashbaugh. She was married on 2 feb 1822. She died on 1 feb 1875 and is buried in Rodger's Cemetery in Waverly, Ill with Jacob.
