I am looking for information regarding the Ashbaugh family of Clifton, Pierce Co., WI. In 1900 the census lists Wm.? born 1855 in Wisconsin married to Emma. The census lists the following children: Frank C. b. 1881 in WI, Chas. Archie b. 1883 in WI, Myrtle(my great grandmother) b. 1886, Clifton W. b. 1889, Llewellen G. b. 1894 and Earl H. b. 1897. Some members of this family did live in Meagher Co., MT around 1916-1920's. The only possible prospect in databases for a William Ashbaugh born appr. 1855 in WI is a William born to Robert Ashbaugh in 1855 in Clifton, Pierce Co, WI. It gets tough in the 1870 census since Wm. appears as Robert William. Any information or assistance you know of regarding this family would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
