While doing some research on my grandmother, Ruth Clinansmith I happened upon a listing in the 1930 census of Michigan, Wayne County, Detroit. It lists a Charles Ashbaugh as head of household, wife is listed as Elsie born in Canada (the name and birth place of my great grandmother) and listed a daughter--Opal Clinansmith age 10 also born in Cananda. My grandmother Ruth had a sister named Opal Clinansmith and this matches her age in 1930. Anyone with info regarding the marriage of Charles and Elsie.
