Descendants of Susanna ASHBAUGH
First Generation
1. Susanna ASHBAUGH was born Feb 1828 in Pennsylvania. She died 19 Jul 1895 in Pike Co., Ohio.
Susanna was apparently unmarried at the time she had John William and
Aquilla. In 1853 Susanna Ashbaugh married Andrew POLLARD in Pike County. After Andrew's death she married Joshua HAINES in 1876. I don't know if Susanna raised her two sons after she married Andrew Pollard in 1853, but on the 1860 census the two boys were living with their grandparents, John and Catherine Ashbaugh, in Pike County. John and Aquilla had a different last name on the 1860 census. The boys moved back to Columbiana County with their grandparents where they were all listed on the 1870 census and had taken the name ASHBAUGH. This explains why the death certificates for both John William and Aquilla listed their father as John Ashbaugh. Their
grandfather must have been their father figure for most of their lives.
Susanna was not married (1) to GARREN?.
Possibly a John Garen.
They had the following children:

3 M ii. Aquilla ASHBAUGH was born Jul 1851. He died.
Susanna also married (2) Andrew POLLARD, son of Jonathan POLLARD and Seneth SALSBURY, on 11 Jun 1853 in Pike Co., Ohio. Andrew was born about 1821 in Adams Co., Ohio. He died.
They had the following children:
4 F iii. Sara Catherine POLLARD was born 5 Feb 1854. She died.
5 F iv. Narcissus Elizabeth POLLARD was born Feb 1855. She died.
6 M v. Samuel Allen POLLARD was born 25 Mar 1858. He died.
7 M vi. Jonathan POLLARD "Jont" was born 2 Jun 1866. He died.
Jont married Louvinda J. HENRY on 21 Oct 1885 in Pike Co., Ohio. Louvinda died.
8 M vii. Joseph Elmer POLLARD was born 29 Oct 1867. He died.
Susanna also married (3) Joshua HAINES on 20 Jun 1876. Joshua died.
Second Generation
2. John William ASHBAUGH (Susanna) was born 4 Jan 1849 in Hillsboro, Highland Co., Ohio. He died 6 Oct 1912 in Bridgeport, Belmont Co., Ohio.
John married Mary MOORE, daughter of Samuel MOORE and Anne FORNER, on 27 Nov 1873 in East Liverpool, Columbiana Co., Ohio. Mary was born about 1849 in Beaver Co., PA. She died 20 Apr 1928 in Belmont Co., Ohio.
They had the following children:
9 M i. William Shaw George ASHBAUGH was born Sep 1874. He died.
+ 10 M ii. Earl Aquilla ASHBAUGH was born 2 Nov 1878 and died 26 Jul 1936.
Third Generation
10. Earl Aquilla ASHBAUGH (John William, Susanna) was born 2 Nov 1878 in Bridgeport, Belmont Co., Ohio. He died 26 Jul 1936 in Belmont Co., Ohio.
Earl married Delora May BROWN. Delora was born about 1855 in West Virginia. She died.
They had the following children:
+ 11 M i. Virgil Earl ASHBAUGH.
Fourth Generation
11. Virgil Earl ASHBAUGH (Earl Aquilla, John William, Susanna).
Virgil married Dorothy WACHTER.
They had the following children:
12 F i. Judith Ann ASHBAUGH.
Judith married Ralph Glenn DRAKE.
