One Hundred Years of Pike County Ohio Marriages 1815-1915 contains this item- Ashbaugh,Essie b.1879,d/0 James and Martha (McCoy)Ashbaugh m.18 May 1899 to Parks,John. There is no entry for Ernest, but I suspect his name is John Ernest Parks. Then it lists: Parks, John b. 1876, s/o James I & Barbara (Hart) Parks. Also an entry: Parks,James m.11 Nov 1875, Barbara Ann Hart.
Another Pike entry is; Ashbaugh,J.H.- m. 18 Aug 1878 to McCoy, Martha. The J.H. is for James Henry born @ 1858 in Mifflin Tp.,Pike Co.,Ohio. Another entry is that William Ashbaugh m.24 May 1857,Pike Co.,Ohio, to Emerillas 'Emma' Jones. These, I believe, are the parents of James Henry Ashbaugh.
From other data, I have, William b.31 May 1835 in Penn.(1860 census,Pike Co.), d. 19 July 1897,Mifflin Tp.,Pike Co.,Ohio, age 62y 1m 19d. Emerillas Jones b. about 1834 in Ohio, (1860 census) died 1908 and is buried at White Oak Cem., Mifflin Tp., Pike Co., Ohio. William, brother of my gr.grandmother, Susanna Ashbaugh Pollard, is the s/o John & Catharine (Sarver) Ashbaugh. Please correct me if you find I am in error.
I have nothing on Julia, perhaps that is a second name, or a 2nd marriage. A gene bug, maybe a 3rd cousin to your father. Eileen
