My ggrandmother was a Clarion County Ashbaugh. They were from Germany. Daniel Louis Ashbaugh's, b. Dec8, 1868 in Salem Twp, Clarion Countym, d. 1956. Buried at St Paul's. M. Rosina Hanst, b. 1873 in Beaver Twp, d. Dec 31, 1909. Parents were Peter and Priscilla Hanst.
Daniel's parents were: William E. Ashbaugh, b. Dec 8, 1822 or 23 in Beaver Twp, Clarion Co., d. Jun 5, 1898 or Sep 1, 1898. Married Sarah Dunkle.
William's parents were: Daniel Ashbaugh, Jr., b. August 16, 1793, d. Nov 17,1871. Married Maria Best, daughter of Best pioneers in Clarion, b. Aug 7, 1797, d. Jun 26, 1882.
Daniel Ashbaugh Jr. parents: Daniel Ashbaugh Sr, b. May 12 or 15, 1766, d. Oct 1, 1852. Married Mar Veronica Laux/Likes, b. 1769, d. Mar 15, 1836.
Daniel Ashbaugh Sr parents: Andrea Ashbaugh, died in 1772. Married to Anna Eliza Martin (?).
