Hi,
Does anyone have any information on the parents etc of Isabelle Mecum, bn 1845 somewhere in Missouri.
A family sstory tells of Isabelle and he Mother being forced to leave their home by soldiers. when she was al
a little girl. After they left the eventually came to CA in a covered wagon.
Isabelle married Horace T. MECUM abt 1875 in Germantown (Artois) CA which is in Glenn Co.
They lived around the Chico CA area. They had a saw mill and about 1,000 acres near a town called
Cohassett, which is in Butte Co. CA
Where in Missouri might Isabelle and her Mother, her father was dead according to the story, that
soldiers forced them off their land? This might have been sometime during the Civil War.

Thank YOU!!

Viola
