Andrew Ash's father was Daniel Ash, he had a brother Samuel that moved from Va. to N.C. and then to Brumley, Miller County, Mo.Perhaps you could get a death certificate for Samuel Ash in Miller Co. Mo. and get their father's name documented.
I have a cousin that has researched the Ash lines for about 40 years. She has written this information in a letter. She wrote me several letters and it seems that the Ash line can be tricky-there are separate lines that contain the same names such as Green Ash and Andrew.There are several books written on the Ash lines.One book is by Clara Martin and another is by John R. Ashe of Greensboro, N.C..
