Jean,
Margaret Ash and William Payne are my 13G grandparents. They were both born around 1500-1510 and were both from Market Bosworth, Leicestershire, England. Margaret was the daughter of Thomas Ash and William was the son of Edmund Payne, b. ca 1467 and Elizabeth Walton, b. ca 1468.
The couple had the following children, all born in Newton Bury, Suffolk, England where William is recorded to have died as well, so apparently this is where the couple resided:

Nicholas Payne, b. 1534
Edward Payne, b. 1535
Anthony Payne, b. 1536/37, d. March 3, 1606
Thomas Payne, b. 1539, d. April 14, 1631
Henry Payne, b. 1540, d. June 25, 1568
John Payne, b. 1542, d. June 14, 1568
Agatha Payne, b. 1543
Elizabeth Payne, b. 1545
Agnes Payne, b. 1546
Anna Payne, b. 1548
Frances Payne, b. 1550
