Does anyone know anything about the Ash family of Yorkshire, England? One of my ancestors was a Lady Ann Ash. She married her coachman, Matthew Johnson and came to New Brunswick, Canada in the 1760's on the "Montrose." The Johnsons settled at River Philip, NS (Cumberland County).
