I am looking for the parents of George Ash that married Nancy Hopkins in Kentucky. They lived in Bullitt or Nelson County. I have found them on the 1850 KY. census and they have several children with them. I know they moved to Harrison County, IN. and he died there. This is not Indian George that we all have heard about. They were married in Bullitt County on April 15, 1839 and I found it on the Bullitt County, KY marriages for 1839. I also have several Ash Marriages In Kentucy for Bullitt and Hardin,KY. for years from 1797 to 1850. There are 3 listings for Henry Ash in Hardin, KY. And in Bullitt there is a Charles, George, George N., Isaac, James, John, Mathias, William and several women who were Ash. I don't know if this helps anyone. I haven't worked on the Family History for awhile and trying to get back on it. Hope someone has some new information.
