This is from the Lowell Daily Courier (Mass.) newspaper, dated Monday Evening, March 31, 1862, Vol. XXVII... This is the complete article, I don't have any other info., thanks...
"In upper Darby, near Philadelphia, March 24th, Mary Ash, aged 97 years. She was the mother of sixteen children, all of whom attained their majority. The oldest and youngest survive her. The laiter is over sixty years of age. Her third daughter was buried on seventh day, 22 inst., in her 74th year. This venerable friend was about twelve years old when the battle of Brandywine was fought."
