Hi Rosemarie,
I have a William "Bill" Asbury Ash, b. May 04, 1826 and died May 24, 1902 in Cherokee County, N.C., buried in the Martin Creek Cemetery in Cherokee Co. He was married to Frances Caroline Cantrell who was born April 11, 1835 and died April 05, 1870 and is buried in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin Co., Ga. He also was married to Celia Turner between 1847 - 1863.
It's possible that he could have married Sarah Dempsey in December 1876?????? His father (my gggrandad)William "Bill" Ash reared his family in Lumpkin Co., Ga.
