Hi! Sheila,
Thank you ever so much for the info on James Ash/Mary Collett genealogy. There was a lady while back trying to find out who their children were. At the present, I lost a copy of the e-mail she sent me.
You mentioned a family of Evans living in Martinsburg, IA; I don't know off-hand who they might be unless they were Elizabeth Jane Ruggles Evans and her dau. Olivia Evans.
Olivia was an invalid most of her life. She was born in abt. 1879 and died in l909. Elizabeth Jane Ruggles Evans was the wife of William H. Evans. Wm. H. Evans is the one I have been researching for and it seems I just hit a brick wall. I have no record of his death, either him or his wife and where they were buried. Olivia was bur. in the Bluepoint cem., Jefferson Co., IA.
My father was Eddie Flint Evans and my mother was Mildred Christina Derby Evans. I was born and raised in Wapello County, Ia just abt. 3-l/2 miles N.E. of Farson, Ia.
If you should find any info on my great grandfather, Wm. H. Evans and Elizabeth Evans I sure would appreciate it. William had two daughters that I also have no info on. Ellen (Ella) Evans mar. Joseph S. Vulgamott mar. in Keokuk County abt. 1887 and Laura Evans b. abt. l859. I have no info on these two.
