Looking for the parents of Isabel Asherbranner bn MO 1858. Family story--When Isabel was a little girl soldiers came to the home of Isabel and demanded that they leave.
Her mother asked permission to bury her husband. She then covered the bottom of their wagon with salt and told the little girl not to tell any one as that was their money. Could this have been in the Cape Girardeau or Bollinger Co. The Asherbranners came from NC around 1800.
