William McFarland appears on the 1860 Lee Co. ILL census (age 34 and b. in Maryland) with wife Mary Elizabeth (Senger, I believe, also age 34, b. in PA) and children John (age 11, b. PA), Elizabeth (9, b. VA), Sarah (8, b. VA), William H. (7, b. VA), May (5, b. ILL), Joel (3, b. ILL), and Joseph Emmert (b. 15 Feb. 1860 in Cherry Grove, ILL, d. Mar. 1943 in Spokane, WA).

My information is that Mary Elizabeth is remarried in the early 1860's to George Aschenbrenner (various spellings), and they have a son George Daniel (b. 4 Dec. 1861 in ILL, d. Jan. 1943 in Spokane, WA), Anna D. (b. 1863, ILL), and Christian D. (b. 1865, Iowa). George and Mary Aschenbrenner and all 10 children appear on the 1870 Benton Co., Iowa census.

Does anyone have any information on these families?
