William "B." Asbury

I'm trying to track down information on William Brooks Asbury. Sometimes the B was used ... sometimes not. He is in the 1880 Census along with his wife Lovicey (pick your spelling for this) and several of his children, one being Newton age 21 in 1880. Believe that William died in 1884. There is an entry in the Death Register for Tazewell County. HOWEVER...I have a problem. William's age is given as 16 and although Newton, spelled Nuton in this instance, gave the information, his relationship to William was not listed. If William died in 1884 as it appears he did, he would have been 61. apparently this is a set of transposed numbers. Im trying to find out if there was a will or estate papers, OR if anyone knows anything more about this person. Lovicey was still living in 1880 but William was listed as unmarried in 1884 which should mean he was a widower. This is causing confusion in my DAR Application, even tho I have marriage information and other census information. Also can't seem to find anything on when Lovicey died..... will appreciate any help...thx Bettie
