Below is some basic info on Nancy Asbury and Francis Goodwin. It is from several sources and is not all proved. Nancy Asbury was the younger sister to my 4g grandfather, Elijah Asbury. (the formatting of the below info might screw up a bit, but hopefully you can get the gist)

Francis Goodwin was born in 1760 in Ireland and died September 23, 1851 in Taylor County, WV.
(His parents were John Edward Goodwin, BA 1734 and Tabitha Unknown, BA 1734)

Francis Goodwin’s first wife was Lydia and was married around 1787 in Harrison County, WV.
Their children (born in Harrison County, WV and tended to die in Taylor County, WV - Taylor County, WV was formed out of Harrison County, WV)

(1) Jean (1788-1795)
(2) James (1789- )
(3) Mary Polly (1790- )
(4) Lidy (1792- )
(5) William (March 22, 1792-April 22, 1832)
(6) Francis (Sept 24,1799-March 12,1871)
(7) John W. (1802-August 1849)
(8) Nathan (1803-C1870)
Married Jane [Ginny] Asbury (daughter of John Asbury and Patty Self - Jane was a cousin to Nancy Asbury)
Their children (born in Harrison County, WV)

(B)Lydia (1836- )

`
Francis Goodwin’s second wife was Nancy Asbury, daughter of Thomas Asbury and Elizabeth Bartlett (younger sister to Elijah Asbury)
Their children (they were born in Taylor County, WV and died in Knox County, MO):

(1) Temperance (November 25, 1822-March 1, 1891)
Married Joseph Carder (son of Isaac Carder and Tabitha Bennett)
Their Children:
George Washington (June 22, 1844-Feb 8, 1917?)
Caroline V (Jan 9, 1846-Feb 8, 1917?)
William E (Sept 23, 1847-July 26, 1912)
Nancy (Sept 8, 1849-Dec 9, 1920)
Tabitha (Jan 15, 1853-July 30, 1895)
Isaac (Nov 5, 1855-July 16, 1945)
Harrison B (Nov 5, 1855-July 23, 1943)

(2) Amanda (July 13, 1824-October 17, 1890)
(3) Harrison (May 2, 1826-July 25, 1900)

Francis Goodwin was born 1760 in Londonderry, Ireland and died 23Sep1851. His first wife was Lydia. Both are buried at Beulah Baptist Ch.Cem. at Pruntytown. Francis' home was on Lost Run a tributary of Booths Creek. The village of Booths Creek is in the corner of Harrison, Marion and Taylor Co. Lost Run is on the north of Pruntytown. To the south of Pruntytown is Shelby Run. Pruntytown is about 10-12 miles east of Harrison/Taylor Co. line and maybe 17 miles east of Clarksburg.

Charles Brinkman a historian of Grafton and Taylor Co. in one of his articles ascribed Nathan Goodwin who, married Jane Asbury, with building the first house in Grafton on the east side of Tygart's Valley River. Grafton is about 5 miles east of Pruntytown.

Nancy Asbury Goodwin was born 10May1793 in Virginia and died 02Aug1861 in either Knox or Scotland Co., Missouri. A daughter Temperance Goodwin Carder wife of Joseph Carder died in Knox Co., Missouri 01 Mar1891, as did Amanda Goodwin Carder. Amanda supposedly died 17 Oct1890 in Colony, Knox Co., Missouri. A son, Harrison Goodwin, born 22May 1826 and died 25Jul1900 also in Knox Co., Missouri. The Carder family originated in Culpepper Co., VA.

The 1850 census of Taylor Co, (West) VA, listed the age of Francis Goodwin as 90 and Nancy (Asbury) Goodwin as 58.

Nancy Asbury Goodwin and some descendants are buried at Colony, Knox County, MO (I have some headstone photos somewhere)

Nancy Asbury was the daughter of Thomas Asbury and Elizabeth Bartlett. Thomas Asbury was the son of William Asbury and Jane UNKNOWN (although some sources state it is Jean Ankerum, I have no proof)

Hope this helps point you into the right direction.
