Matilda was married to William Asberry prior to 1830 as they had five children before William died (?).
Henry Asberry(Asbury) b 1857 d 11 Sept 1862.
Mary Jane Asberry b 12 Sep 1833 d 1 Apr 1911 married Wm Warrick
** Martha "Matilda" Asberry b 13 Nov 1833 married Andrew Jackson Massey had 12 children d 16 Nov 1882 in Dripping Springs, Hays County, Texas Mt. Sharp Cemetery.
Bradford or Redford Asberry b 1837
Joseph Asberry b 1840
1860 United States Federal Census – Upshur County, Texas
Township: Simpsonville M653 Roll 1306 pg 405a
All three of the sons had joined the same unit in the Civil War. I was not able to track Bedford, Joseph may have been near Galveston.
