Hi Jody, I don't know if there's a connection or not, simply because I don't have information about my families prior to the late 1800's. However, just for further information, I wanted to relate that my great-grandparents, Maude Bea Kenney and Byrd Cook Asbery were married in Sulphur Springs, TX in June, 1905. The Asberys had migrated from TN and the Kenneys were, as far as I know, in TX as early as 1870. I wish I could give your more information, but this post will always be here for later referral. I don't think it was all that uncommon for Celtic families to stick so close together and intermarry. I have found that tendency in both my Irish lineage and my husbands Welsh lineage. It seems it all revolved around land ownership. (JMO) Kind regards, Monica Notify Administrator about this message?
