My great great grandfather's name was Erasmus Asberry Braley - my great grandfather also had Asberry as his middle name, so I am wondering if Asberry was a family name on Erasmus' mother's side. His father's name may have been Erasmus also or possibly Joseph. May also have had a brother or cousin named Joseph. Erasmus was born in Montgomery County AL 1826, m. Rebecca Jane Weaver b. Atlanta GA 1836. They married in Barbour County AL 1852. 9 children:Mary Laura b. Montgomery Cty AL 1853;James Asberry, my great grandfather;Thadeus Leroy b.Montgomery Cty AL 1857;Warren Lorenzo b. Montgomery Cty AL 1859; Walter W. b. Montgomery Cty AL 1861;Leonardis Larkin, John Daniel, Annie Clifford; Nathan Virgil. ANY HELP APPRECIATED - I am NEW at this! Thanks!!
