HI All, I am also looking at the Asbel name. My family tree shows a line of Asbels. My Grandmother on my dads side. Her fathers mother was Mary Elizabeth Asbel born about 1853. Her father is Alonzo Asbel. Which you can see in the Bertie County census from 1860. Page 5 #86. Its is then said Solomon Asbel is his father. The same Solomon I have seen in this forum. I am Originally from Chowan County NC, My grandmother is from neighboring Bertie County. Any info would be appreciated.
