Azbill history
In reading many of the posted messages, I am interested in knowing how sure or confident anyone is concerning the family line prior to Martin Asbill of the late 1600's and early 1700's.I often see the names of George Asball and Richard Asball or Asbell prior to Martin, but wonder what documentation there is of the connection or blood relation between them and Martin.I see some messages posted that believe Martin may have been the first Asbill in this country and was of no relation to George or Richard. Just curious as to this early period as well as if anyone has tried to go further back into England.I am of the Azbill family of Kentucky, being descended from William "Old Uncle Billy" to James Azbill to Wiley Azbill to James "John" Azbill to John G. Azbill to William R. Azbill to me, Randall Azbill. Thanks.
