I am attempting to make a connection with the correct KEY family with
this message but will certainly welcome any and all
information/corrections etc. on all of these surnames and will look
forward to exchanging data with anyone related.
Aaron ASBELL b. 4 Aug 1800 NC married 29 May 1850 as his 2nd wife Lydia
KEY (b. 16 June 1817 NC) in Union City, Obion County, TN.
Aaron ASBELL was my gr-gr grandfather through his first wife Elizabeth
BONNER. Aaron and Lydia had one son : Thomas O. ASBELL b. 20 Oct 1855.
Henry Calvin CLOYES/CLOYSE b.25 Dec 1823 in Christian Co., KY? married
Elizabeth Boyd KEY (b.10 Sept 1821) on 1 Jan 1845 in Hopkinsville,
Christian Co., KY. Henry and Elizabeth were my gr-gr grandparents.
Their daughter Sarah Elizabeth CLOYES/CLOYSE b. 21 Nov 1854 married 1880 in Cayce, Fulton Co., KY. William Nelson ASBELL (b. 11 Jan 1834, son of Aaron ASBELL) on 21 Jan 1880 in Cayce, Fulton Co., KY.
Lydia KEY and Elizabeth Boyd KEY are said to be sisters. Does anyone
have any further information on this KEY family? The aforesaid is all
that I have on them and I would sure like to tie these ladies into their
rightful family.
