Sorry, it's been a rough week. Poppy passed away on March 15th, not the 16th.... visitation was on the 17th and this week has been such a bour that the dates got fuzzy on me. One minute I'm up- the next I'm down... the next I'm fine the next I'm in tears! Here is the official obit, as posted on the Herald-Leader's website: Trefford Arvin Sr. NICHOLASVILLE - Trefford Arvin Sr., 79, husband of Agnes Bentley Arvin, died Tuesday March 15, 2005 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington after a brief illness. Born March 12, 1926 in Irvin, KY, he was the son of the late Nathaniel Greene and Sarah Niel Harris Arvin. He was a Veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Army and Navy and spent three years in the National Guard. He also worked as a truck driver for over 21 years. Additional survivors include seven daughters, Patricia Ann Campbell, Mona Lee (William) Clark, Devonia Kay (Paul) Huff, Vina Ileene (Randall) Peters, Tonya Gayle (Rahman) Abodolzadeh, Denna Lanea Arvin and Yolanda Lynn (Brad) East, two sons, Trefford (Judy) Arvin Jr. and Joseph Michael (Carol Ann) Arvin, one sister, Lillian Harris, two brothers, William Arvin and Nathanial Arvin, twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and other family members. Services will be held 1:30 pm Fri. at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Price officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Military will serve as bearers. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as honorary bearers. Visitation will be Thurs. from 5-9 pm at the funeral home.
