I can not find any information on Thomas's parents. I have a theory that Thomas might be a grandson Thomas Arvin, SR. Born Abt 1714 and Sarah Darnell. Their son Edward Darnell Arvin had a son Henry Arvin who married a Theresa Montgomery. Herny also served in the War of 1812. Henry's son William Arvin married a Theresa Fields and were married in Washington County, KY. This around the same time Thomas John Arvin son John A. Arvin married Elizabeth Fields in Washington County, KY. Elizabeth did have a sister named Treacy Fields.
