With reference to my previous posting on Nancy Belle Artz and Hezekiah Middlekauff, my great grandparents, I did not realize that there were Artz in Washington County, MD. That just so happens to be the only place I can locate a Hezekiah Middlekauff on the new LDS site! Someone told me once, that the Artz name was a PA name, and since we have the picture of Hezekiah, take at PA, I assumed that is where they were from. The Hezekiah I found on the LDS site was christened in 1827, which I had thought might make him too old, as his children were born beginning in 1866. But anything is possible--he could have been older than her, as I have no birth dates for either of them. My Nancy Belle Artz Middlekauff died in 1885, and he remarried, moved to MO, and after that the family knows nothing more. PLEASE contact me if this sounds like more than a coincidence.
