I do not know Jacob Artz, but a daughter of Henry Artz, related to my family through my g-g-grandfather, Jonas Burner, who married, my g-g-grandmother, Sarah Artz, b. 9 Mar 1787, d: 2 Oct 1867, in Shenandoah Co, Va, daughter of Henry Artz, and Mrs. Christina Artz. She and Jonas Burner were married 19 Feb 1805, in SC, Va, (Bond). Their children were:
Mary Burner, b; 11 Sep 1808, in Shenandoah Co, Va
Rebecca Burner B: 12 Oct 1810
Noah John Burner b: 4 mar 1818, Shenandoah Co, Va (my g-grandfather)
Israel Benjamin Burner b: 20 Jun 1820, Shenandoah Co, Va.
Others who married into our family and lived in Berks Co, Pa, were all from Germany, as I suspect the Artz family are: Some of those names are as follows:
Johann Wendel Muller, b: abt 1655, wife Maria Elizabetha Menge. I believe that both lines came from Dorrenbach, Germany, and settled in Berks Co, Pa. There are others, like the Battorff's, Walborn's, and Muller's, another of my direct lines of family genealogy, who at one time lived in the Berks Co, Pa, area, but they are too numerous to mention.
