Thanks, Jim. This matches what I know about the twins, according to their baptism records. Does anyone know when George KLINE married Caroline ARTZ? Is it possible they had other children prior to the twins? There would be a large gap between William's birth in 1858 and the twins in 1870, but Caroline was not living with her parents in the 1860 census, so it is possible she was already married.
William was living with the family of Simon ARTZ in the 1870 census and Simon was Caroline's brother. Since Caroline died in February that year it would have been before the census was taken.
Does anyone know what happened to George KLINE after Caroline died? I see in the baptism records for the twins that they were born in Clinton County, PA. I haven't had any success finding any information there.
