Laurie:
Melvin was the son of William and Phoebe (Breeding) Artrip. I have the same children listed for Melvin P and his wife Alice (Owens) Artrip which I copied from the 1910 census records for Russell County. The William above was the brother of my gggrandfather, Samuel Artrip. They were both sons of William and Mary (Sutherland) Artrip. I have lots on Artrip and Kiser if you need any help. Just ask.
