I am looking for any descendant of Elijah L. Artrip, born May 11, 1845 in Russell County, Virginia. Married December 16, 1869 in Russell County, Virginia to Priscilla McReynolds. Died March 5, 1935 in Artrip, Russell County, Virginia. Two children John A. and Nancy Jane. Elijah served in the Confederate States Army with the 27th Kentucky Regiment Cavalry according to the inscription on his tonb stone. I am trying to verify the organization in which he served. Confederate rosters indicate there was no such organization. Any information greatly appreciated. Larry Clere klrwud@dishmail.net
