Searching: Sperry Family as Related to Artrips

I am looking for more information and reference documents about the Benjamin Sperry and Peter Loar families as related to the early Artrips. I am hoping that as I learn more about the Sperry and Loar families, I will also learn more about Colburt's origin.

Colburt Artrips grandchildren through John Harvey married into these families. John Harvey's daughter Winnie married Benjamin Sperry, daughter Elizabeth married Peter Loar, and son William married Jesse Sperry.

In William Ely's book (1887) titled "The Big Sandy Valley," on page 156 it mentions, "In 1800 Benjamin Sperry, Peter Loar, and William Artrip, three brothers-in-law, came from the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, and settled on the Sandy River, where Cassville (Fort Gay) and Louisa are now located." So, you see, these families were tight.

I am also looking for a copy of a book by Rodney Prestage Homer titled, "The Sperry Family Line of Jeremiah Sperry of Minnesota 1802-1870, Descendant to Richard Sperry of the New Haven Colony 1615-1698." I feel this book will shed more light on the subject.

Any help or leads will be appreciated. Thanks!

John Snyder
