Memorial Day Arthur Lines/Va. - Texas

Today, is Memorial Day, 2009. I am posting my Arthur lines
as compiled by several dedicated Arthur researchers. Some of the dates vary by a few months or even a year or two and I have listed what seems to be the best proven. I am beginning with my grandfather.

If anyone researching these Franklin/Bedford Va. Arthurs
can add or contest what I have listed, please say so. I would be very grateful to know more.



lst generation:
John William Arthur, b. 11 May 1884 Va., d. 08 March, 1968,
Dallas, Texas m. Maude May Dorsey.
2nd geneation:
John Barnabas Arthur, b. 22 Mar. 1858, Franklin, Va. d. 1933
Wichita Falls, Texas. Married Mary Tennessee Davis.
3rd generation:
William Goodman Arthur, b. June 1834 Franklin Va. d. 1912 Wichita Falls, Tx. m. (1) Tolitha James
4th generation:
Barnabas Arnett Arthur, b. 1803, Franklin, Va.m. Jane Wright
5th generation:
Thomas Arthur b. 1785 Franklin, Va. m. Nancy (Webster)
6th. Generation
John A. Arthur Sr. b. 1759 Bedford, Va. (some dates 1754-1765) d. 1832 Franklin, Va. m. Susannah Davis
7th generation
Barnabas Arthur Sr. b. 1733, Middlesix Va. d. before April 24, 1815 Beford, Va. m. Elizabeth Lewis and Nancy Williamson
(sometimes named as Nancy Clayton &may be the same)
8th generation:
John Arthur Sr. b. about 1710 Middlesex, Va.estate probated 1793 Bedford, Va. m. Elizabeth Adams (birth in Va. questioned by some but believe Va. is correct)
9th generation:
Thomas Arthur, b. abt. 1660 Cullybacky, Aurain, Ireland.
(death in Ireland or in Va. are questioned by some.)
