Mitzie,
Everett and Sallie Arter were my grandparents. Their children, Harold, my uncle, and Ferna Lee, My mother are still living in LeFlore County, OK.
Everett and Sallie both died in the 80's and are buried in the Poteau Oklahoma cemetery.
Raymond, Everetts' brother, died shortly before Everett, also lived close in Shady Point, OK, and his wife Bertha, died about a year ago, still residing in Shady Point.
John Wesley Arter is indeed Everett's father. My mother knows which cemetery they are buried in, but will have to check with her. A previous post indicating that John Wesley was born in Logan County, AR is consistent with the info I have, as is Isom Green Arter being John Wesley's father, born in TN in 1842.
