I am a decendant Of Micheal Arter (Oerther) who came to America in 1849. My line is Micheal-George-Micheal (who lived in Richland Co., Ohio)-Emeline (my great grandmother)-John Wesley Ashbaugh-Charles Ashbaugh- Fred Ashbaugh (me) The younger Micheal had a son, Jacob, who moved to Traer, Iowa. I have the same book "The Arter/Arthur Family of Fountain Valley" that you referenced. I am included in that book as a decendant of Michael.
