I am looking for any supporting info to the ancestral line of Dr. Daniel Arter who moved to Pulaski CO, IL near Cairo in the early to mid 1800's from Maryland, his birth place. The following info was gathered from a combination of sources including an Arter family bible which he, among others recorded a number of family dates of importance.
I. Michael Arter; b. 11-18-1732 (place unknown); m. "Gramma" (real name unk.) date unknown; d. 5-28-1808 (place unk.). "Gramma" Arter was born 6-4-1737 (place unk.) and died May 30, 1805. Their issue include:
II.Abraham Arter; b. 12-26-1769 (place unknown); m. Magdelene ? 9-13-1796 (place unknown); d. 11-11-1850 (place unknown). Magdelene; b. 8-26-1777 (place unknown); d. 8-6-1853 (place unknown). Their issue include:
III. A. Dr. Daniel Arter; b. 6-3-1798 Maryland (locality unknown); m. (1.) Mary Garrett on 8-16-1819 ( place unknown); their issue included 6 children: (2.) Millie Ann Moyer on 7-24-1831 (place unknown); Their issue included 6 daughters one of which was Laura Jacinto Arter (my great grandmother).
III. B. Simon Arter; b. July 27, 1801 (place unknown).
I have names and dates of chldren of Daniel Arter for those interested.
I also have to think that many of the unknowns above took place in MD.
