I'm trying to track down the parents of my 3x great-grandfather,William Arters/Arthur, who was born in 1770 we thought at first in Mifflin Co.but maybe it was Mifflintown,Fayette Co.,PA. I understand there was an Isaac & John Arter that lived there at the same time.

William Arters/Arthur came to Harrison Co.,VA./WV. & married Mary "Polly"Davisson Friend on 1 Feb.1802. They were some of the first settlers of current Webster Co.,WV..

If anyone knows of this family please contact me. Thanks for your help!
