My grandmother was Stella ARTER. She was born in 1913. Her father was Lafayette Chester ARTER and her mother was Anna Verdilla TROUP.
Lafayette ARTER, born in 1882, Pennsylvaina, was the son of Peter ARTER and Emily Catherine PARKS. Anyone out there who might help with generations further back?
