I am descended from William Woolums and Margaret Art. The first information I have of them is the 1810 Nicholas County, Kentucky Census under the name William Woolms.I have been unable to find any earlier information on this William Woolums. If you have anything in that regard please let me know.William had two sons, Fielding and another William, and possibly a son named John.I am descended from the son, William.I don't think our Arts are related to the Deleware River pilots who lived in Philadelphia (and other places) and were neighbors of Stephen Decatur.See 1790 Census.
